Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions will govern the product order placed by you with Credit Valley Conservation (CVC), located at 1255 Old Derry Rd., Mississauga, Ontario, L5N6R4.

Payment

You agree to pay CVC the listed price for your order, including any taxes, duties, levies, shipping and handling costs, if any, by providing your credit card information at the time of placing the order. All prices are in Canadian dollars. All prices are subject to change without notice.

Security and Personal Information

Your personal and credit card information is protected while you are shopping online with CVC. SSL (Secure Socket Layers) technology ensures the security and integrity of the personal information you provide through your browser. This advanced security system encrypts data transmissions between a web browser and web site, and ensures this information may only be decrypted at its intended destination. While CVC takes steps to protect the security of e-mail or other communications with this Site, there is no guarantee that such communications will not be intercepted by unauthorized parties. CVC will never ask for, and you should never send, financial information via email.

You consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by CVC or as agreed to by you in another place of this site for the purpose of providing you with the goods and services requested and as otherwise indicated in our Privacy Statement.

Purchaser Acknowledgements

A member of our team will review your order to confirm you reside in one of our eligible neighbourhoods (where applicable) before we process payment of your order. Ineligible orders will not be processed and you will be notified via email. By placing an order, you agree to the following:

Habitat Structure Purchases

  • You must pick it up at CVC’s Warwick Conservation Area in Caledon or Head Office in Mississauga.
  • A member of our team will contact you to arrange pick up.

Tree Giveaway and Purchases

  • You must reside within the Credit River Watershed or other eligible neighbourhoods.
  • Water must be available on your property.
  • You are committed to caring for your new tree. Care guides will be provided at the time of planting.
  • Additional purchased trees will be delivered with the free tree. Our home planting team will plant the free tree and teach you how to plant any additional trees. 
  • There is a limit of one free tree per household in 2024.
  • A member of your household must be present during the delivery and planting time, for at least 30 minutes.

Tree Delivery and Planting

  • A member of our team will contact you to schedule the planting.
  • You will be asked to specify where in your yard you would like us to plant the free tree. Our team is happy to work with you to find the best spot so it can thrive.
  • Prior to digging, we will contact Ontario One Call on your behalf.
  • We will request your permission to take photos of the tree.
  • We will make every effort to proceed with a tree planting as planned. Tree planting cancellations may occur due to extreme conditions such as, extremely heavy rainfall, high winds and/or in the event of lightning or lack of power and will reschedule as quickly as possible once inclement/ adverse weather conditions cease and the safety of our clients is not threatened.

Refunds

Tree, Habitat Structures and Plant Lists

CVC may at times need to refund due to low product availability. Should this occur, purchasers will be notified, and all applicable fees will be refunded to the original card used for payment, within two to three business days.

Research Colloquium Event

Requests for a refund made 48 hours or more before the event start time will receive a full refund. Requests for a refund made less than 48 hours before the event start time, you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind.
